Tips for Completing Your Classified Ad
Fill out as many boxes as possible, add pictures, and publish. The more information about the item, the better. If you just want to be quick. All you have to do is fill out the required boxes. You can come back at any time to edit your listing.
Required Sections for Classifieds
- Classified Ad Title
- Classified Ad Description
- Category -can be more than 1
- Default Category- the main category.
Classifieds
In standard Classifieds, you would choose the category that the item is in and maybe a subcategory if available or needed. For example, a cell phone might be under electronics and then phones.
Garage Sales
Garage Sales – has its own category. Put the dates and time in the title, and be sure to include the address in the details.
Lost & Found
Lost & Found has its own category in classifieds as well. If you found a lost item remember that while you are going above the standard to help others, not everyone is as honest, so try to use as little of their personal information as possible. -like their address. Use a picture if possible; it could be generic, but it helps with attention. Include the best way to connect to get the item back. It’s the same if you are posting a lost item.
Pets & Animals
We love the happy stories of animals being reunited with their loved ones and finding their forever homes. Lots of that has happened inside our Facebook group, but even more can happen when we have a wider reach. There are two different areas.
Animals and Pets – Category
The broad category for all things Animals and Pets, including supplies, adoptions, etc…
Lost & Found
For pets and the occasional farm animal, we have Lost Animal and Found Animal under the Lost & Found to help match people with their lost animals.
