Filling Out the Business Form
Description
Categories are subjective and varied; we may refine or add more as we grow and develop.
- Category Level 1 – Very General- Overall Category – You need at least one Cateory 1 – they are listed below
- Category Level 2 – Categories Under the Overall
- Tags – Think- Specialties or Menu of Services – Not hashtags- Don’t Repeat Categories as tags
- Default Category- is your main Category 1
Select your Default Category (Main Level 1 Category) first, and then you can choose the other #1 & 2 Categories that apply. Some of you may have more than one general area.
For example, Florist can be under Shopping (Level 1) and Florist (Level 2), and then also under Event Planning Services (Level 2) of Tourism and Events. Categories can be subjective and varied; this is probably one of the things that took the most time, which is why they will probably be adjusted. Let me know if you need an additional category or have a suggestion.
Currently, tags are searchable on the website and should be used to further distinguish your business from the categories; do not repeat your categories in your tags.
Why does it matter? The website has many sorting and display options. The better your tag selection, the more likely you are to show up in different searches. Like everything else you can change your tags at any point
Default Category– This is your primary Category

Address:
The address is needed. However, if you don’t want people to see your address, Click Private Address. That option is under all the map dialogs, not at the beginning. The drawback is that you won’t show up on a map search, but you will show up anywhere listings are featured.
Pictures:
The first picture you upload will appear in the results. We may offer additional photo options, such as profile and logo photos, in the future.
Picture Sizing
16:9 Ratio size pictures seem to work best for the results page. That is Reels and Stories on their side. Pixel Size it is 640×360. You can submit square pictures, but they won’t fit the formatting in the previews.
If your photos aren’t showing up (usually because of a change), let me know, I may have to adjust on the backside.
Naming Your Picture
If you title your pictures, it improves findability (not a reword) and Google ranking. They should be relevant to your business name and what you do or sell. Instead of spaces, dashes, or underscores. Your_Business_Name-Your_Service Your_Business_Name-Different_Product
Social Sharing:
This is what will show up when we share your business page on social media. Fill this with what you want us to share with your business listing. This should be a few sentences, and can include emojis. It does not allow for returns (extra line spaces)
Questions:
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. If you do, someone else probably has the same questions.
Other Forms:
The Events and Classifieds are similar to the above.
The Events Form
Events have additional features like start date and time, ending date and time, and recurring events that can be useful.
